Matthew primarily uses It&ly Hairfashion's permanent and demi-permanent hair colors. It&ly Hairfashion's has been one of the finest hair color lines in theworld for over 30 years. They provide incredible conditioning, the lowest ammonia, tonal balance, longevity and are known for the best and most vibrant red hair colors in the industry.
Although Matthew prefers the conditioning benefits of It&ly Hairfashion's color, he also has added other color lines to his arsenal. A few of these include Scruples, Privana's ChromaSilk Vivids, Alphaparf and Kenra Neon's to name a few. With some of these additions Matthew is able to highlight and tone over previously colored hair in a single process. This saves the the client time and provides a multitude of possibilities in a single color service. Other hair color services Matthew strives to be the best at is balayage, ombre, sombre and color melting.
Balayage hair color services provides the artistic freedom to hand place highlights creating a natural flow and brightness to any color service. The hand painted highlights are usually not enclosed in foil but are sometimes separated with plastic or cotton. Balayage is also one discipline used for creating the best sombre hair color (Matthew's favorite).
Ombre hair color is when the ends of the hair have been lightened lighter than the root color hair. Adding a transition color on the the mid-shaft of the hair helps blend the color and will provide the best ombre hair color. One of the latest terms heard in today's salon is sombre. Sombre hair color sounds sexy and is sexy! It is a soft ombre effect and can combine up to four disciplines of hair color root touch-up, balayage, ombre and color melt.
